**NOTE: This article is written as a review for the jewelry from Precious Mammaries. I'm receiving no commission from this or any other article I've written for this business; I was sent the product to review it.**
As I mentioned in a previous article, I've been having some trouble with feeding my daughter. School, work, a business, and a lot of other issues (mainly with our doctor) almost ruined my ability to breastfeed anymore. I wanted to share a bit of an update on that battle and how things are going now.

There can be as many Hindu Gods as there are devotees to suit the moods, feelings, emotions and social backgrounds of the devotees. Sri Ramakrishna, a well-known Hindu saint once said this. BOY was he right! There's such a variety of deities to choose from, especially when it comes to magical study and worship.
Today's all about Hinduism and it's history, practices, gods, and ideas for worship. There are centers of energy within your body called chakras. These spheres are constantly in movement, moving energy through out your body.
When aligned and balanced, you physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually feel at peace. But, as energy is constantly shifting, your chakras can move out of alignment. Here's how you can fix it: I've had some recent requests to go over deity worship, how to get started, and what to do for different pantheons.
This is actually a fantastic topic; just because you're a witch and don't have a set religion yet doesn't mean you aren't looking for one. The best part of witchcraft is being able to incorporate it into a religious or spiritual practice of your chosing. And this is a blog for finding your spiritual path, after all. Sooo... We're going to have a mini-series! Every week I'm going to talk about deity worship, different pantheons and the gods in them, the religious systems they're based off of, and how to get started with worship. Note: I'm doing this from a researched-based standpoint. So any information I find that conflicts with you feel free to comment, shoot me an email, or research for yourself and let me know you findings on the Facebook group. Let's learn and grow together through this series! I'm taking the next month or so to do a 30 Days of Witchcraft challenge. I'm going to do articles based on prompts about different kinds of magical topics and share them with you!
This is going to be a fun series to do, plus we all get to experience the amazingness together! First up: What got me into witchcraft? When you're first starting out with any magical practice, you're told to have a set of tools to work with. This usually consists of a ceremonial knife (or athame), wand, altar with an altar cloth, cauldron, bowls, statues, candles, and maybe more items after that.
Here's the thing: not every magical practice uses tools. Like mine. Plus, as a beginner, who says you have the money for all the latest and greatest tools out there? I know I want a giant black cauldron for my kitchen but I sure as hell can't afford a tiny one right now. So these are the tools I would recommend for witchlings instead:
One step that trips up newcomers to magic is the idea of visualization.
We're alive at a time when imagination is suppressed and looked down on. We lose the ability to imagine when we're young, making it difficult to find it again later. Imagination and visualization is key for any kind of spellwork and magical practice, even for every day life. It's incredibly easy to get back into, even if it's been years since you have, with a few tried and true methods of mine: The Law of Attraction is something you quite often hear in magic; it's the idea of intention bringing out manifestation of goals, dreams, and even spell or tarot work.
In her book The Law of Attraction Does Not Work, Briana Marie goes over this idea and how the Law of Attraction, despite the title, can be correctly used to make positive changes in your life. As a magic practitioner, I was very curious about her thoughts of this widely debated topic. So I picked up a copy; here's my thoughts! Meditation is a topic that I probably should've thought to cover earlier. When learning witchcraft or any spiritual practice, meditation is an easy skill that seamlessly connects you to your higher self and intuition.
Problem: majority of guides make meditation seem ridiculously difficult. You must be in a cross-legged position with your hands forming the symbol of the third-eye. Then you must have a singing bowl chiming every two minutes while a stream is trickling in the distance; this promotes peace and a connect with the divinity within us all. Your mind must be blank and- Wait. Just, wait, waitwaitwait, WAIT. Meditation doesn't have to be that difficult. And it isn't. |
